At the Diagnostic Imaging unit of the Private Hospital, characterized by the presence of a team of highly professional Radiologists with great experience in the field, and the use of cutting-edge technology, it is possible to carry out the main diagnostic examinations (ultrasound,CAT scan, MRI scan, X-ray ) aimed at observing those body areas which are not visible from the outside.
High field magnetic resonance with and without contrast media
CAT scan, Computerized Axial Tomography, is a diagnostic procedure which consists in a digital study of human body, analyzed in sections, in different layers (axial planes). Using x-rays, the examination reproduces patient's body sections and elaborates tridimensional images, through a computerized system.
The Ultrasound is a diagnostic Imaging techinque which is really simple to carry out, and which is used by many specialists who turn to the sonographer for a deepening useful for diagnosis. Ultrasound uses ultrasound to obtain a precise image of the investigated organs. Apart from the bones, the ultrasound shows all that is of parenchymal consistency (the liver, the kidneys) and everything that is liquid (bladder, cysts, hematomas).
The X-ray is an examination by which an image of the parts of the body hit by x-rays is obtained. Performed in different parts of the body, they allow to obtain negative images useful for identifying different pathologies.
High-field Magnetic Resonance
The Magnetic Resonance is a painless and noninvasive diagnostic examination which makes use of radio-frequency electromagnetic waves, used to diagnose pathological conditions of the vertebral column, of the musculoskeletal system and of the temporomandibular joint.
